Whitehorse General Hospital Named One of Canada's Top 100 Employers

Whitehorse, Yukon - Whitehorse General Hospital - and the Yukon Hospital Corporation - have been selected from among 2,750 companies and organizations as one of Canada's Top 100 Employers for 2011.
The award - now entering its 11th year - is an annual competition held by Mediacorp Canada to recognize the country's best places to work and the organizations that lead their sectors in the attraction and retention of employees.
"We are honoured to be recognized as one of Canada's Top 100 Employers," said Yukon Hospital Corporation CEO Joe MacGillivray. "Our employees - throughout all our facilities in the territory - are our greatest asset and we are continually striving to create a work environment that facilitates their health, their growth and their learning."
"Mediacorp Canada selected the Yukon Hospital Corporation based on performance measures in the workplace, the work and social atmosphere, benefits, vacation, communications, performance management, community involvement and training and skills development.
