Radiography encompasses a wide range of x-Ray examinations, including general x-Ray of the skeletal system, GI tract and minor special procedures.
Radiography is performed Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Emergency coverage is offered 24/7.
All Radiography examinations require a written requisition from your physician's office to our booking department.
All imaging examinations are performed digitally which allows the information to be stored and viewed on computers. These images can be transferred electronically to many areas of the hospital and to southern medical facilities in British Columbia and Alberta.
These images are stored electronically in WGH’s Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). All electronic transfers are performed in accordance with the Health Records Confidentiality Policy and Procedure.
