The Yukon Hospital Corporation's mandate, as stated in the Yukon’s Health Act, is to provide hospital and medical care to meet the needs of Yukoners.

Health and Social Services Minister Glenn Hart, Yukon Hospital Corporation (YHC) Board of Trustees, Chair Craig Tuton, and Klondike MLA Steve Nordick today hefted a few shovels of dirt to mark the start of construction on the new hospital and health services facility in Dawson City.
